Foto Colectania presents a collective exhibition that brings together more than 20 artists - both established and emerging - whose works spin around the bidirectional control that relapses on the face: on the one hand, that which each person exercises over the way he wants his face to be perceived, and on the other, the way the forces of power try to exert over our identity.

Perfect Day is an exhaustive photographic tour from Girona to Algeciras, where the author questions the stereotypes emerged from the overexploitation of our Mediterranean coastline. This is the last work of the photographer and will be shown at Foto Colectania from September 15, 2021.

Mary Ellen Mark worked as a documentary photographer making intensely vivid, groundbreaking photo essays exploring the realities of people in a variety of complex, often difficult situations. A large majority of these people were women.

As part of the Panoràmic 2020 festival program, we host the audiovisual projection of Kurt Caviezel in our room from 4 to 29 November. We will also have the presence of Kurt Caviezel and Joan Fontcuberta in a conference, on Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m.

More than a hundred photographs by great authors such as Helena Almeida, Juan Manuel Castro Pietro, Joan Fontcuberta, Cristina García Rodero, Chema Madoz, Cristina de Middel, Isabel Muñoz, Ramón Masats and Gervasio Sánchez are presented.
Through their mobile device, the visitors will be able to connect the exhibited photographs with more images and resources on the Collection's website

. Moriyama's images reflect a subjective view of the city life and the chaos of everyday existence.

. Moriyama, one of Japan's most influential photographers in recent decades, has been awarded in 2019 with the prestigious Hasselblad Prize.

The exhibition features photographs by Alberto García-Alix, Ouka Leele, Pablo Pérez-Mínguez and Miguel Trillo and can be seen in Foto Colectania as of October 17, 2019.

The exhibition presents a selection of masterpieces from the history of photography, part of the collection of Sondra Gilman and Celso González-Falla. The photographs by Robert Adams, Walker Evans, Rineke Dijkstra, Man Ray, Berenice Abbott and Lee Friedlander, among others, thus resonate, beyond their historical temporality and geographic considerations, by their formal correspondences.
